Polycarbonite convex mirrors are aimed at applications that require an unbreakable mirror. Prisons and mental health facilities require unbreakable mirrors for the protection of staff members and patients. Acrylic mirrors are impact resistant for normal applications but can be broken with blunt force, the broken pieces can create a danger. Another reason for Polycarbonate mirrors is due to higher vandalized locations and areas where debris can strike the mirror and expose it to breakage.
